Qualifying a second origin before it is needed
4 min read

Supply disruptions rarely arrive without warning. Regional shortages tighten gradually, regulations add lead time and single-origin materials become harder to book. Qualifying a new supplier after the problem is confirmed is too late.
We qualify alternative origins for our core ingredient categories on a rolling basis, whether or not the current source is under pressure. When a region tightens, a second approved source is already in place.
Maintaining this bench costs more than single sourcing. It is also what keeps a regional shortage from becoming a stoppage on your line.
